Catching Up

We took a bit of a break from the blog as school started and our schedules filled up more.  We'll try to keep this up for the remainder of our time here, but I anticipate it may be sporadic.

Year 3 and Year 6 are underway now and both kids like their teachers and classes.  With such a strange, cool, short summer that included Christmas and New Years, no one was quite ready for school to start.  Now they are halfway through the first term and only a few weeks away from a  2 1/2 week break.

Sam bruised his heel the night before school started by jumping off a jetty.  This accounts for his grimace.  A month later, it's finally "healed."

Last year Sam's grade was not part of the school swim carnival, so this year he was really excited to get to swim.  Both kids did well and we're off to the Zone level swim meet in a few days.

Every swim meet should have a dancing banana!

This greeted us in our garage recently.  It's apparently a Broad-tailed Gecko and is very common around Sydney. Odd looking critter.

Days with little wind suit paddleboarding best.  Chris has found a way to hitch a ride!

A few more posts are on the way soon, if Blogger and the increasingly taxed laptop cooperate...
